El Chato`s Restaurant and Club in Ozona

This seemed to be the nicest place to eat in Ozona. It was decent Mexican food with very friendly waitresses. The apparently don't have a liquor license (or the town is dry?). After 13 hours on the road I was looking forward to a Margarita, or at least a beer...My wife got the shrimp fajitas which was good. I got the chicken taco salad which was not good. It was skimpy and I asked for guacamole to use as the salad "dressing", but all I got was maybe a teaspoon of a dollop on top.

The worst food I have ever had in my entire life, literally. Everything was out of a bag/box. The “salad bar” was premixed salad you can buy at the store and dressing, no toppings at all. The enchiladas were mealy and flavorless, the ribs were chewy and inedible and the tacos were merely meat and shells. The only lettuce was the premixed salad, so we used that for the tacos, no cheese, tomatoes, nothing at all to top it with. I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant, especially after reading (the apparently fake) reviews raving about how authentic it is. Do yourself a favor, DO. NOT. EAT. HERE. under any circumstances.Fun fact: Chato in Portuguese means terrible.

Driving through from Vegas to Austin and was ready for some Mexican food. This place did not disappoint. Great food just like my mom makes. Must stop if in the area.

It was delicious.I had the enchiladas with green sauce. The hot sauce is fresh and very good. They do not serve alcohol but, you can bring in your own. Very nice people staffed here. Prices are reasonable. Place is trendy and it looks like the owners have spent a lot of money on decorating.. Very clean...highly recommened.

We were seated at lunch time immediately after walking in. Complementary chips and salsa were placed and even refilled. The salsa wasn't my favorite, though, and I thought it tasted a bit like tomato paste with Tabasco sauce- no cilantro or other flavors. However, the food was very good. The service was attentive and friendly. I would be happy to recommend this restaurant to a friend.

The food was awesome. Nice customer service. There are vegetarian options as well and they make custom vegetarian food as per your need

El chato's restaurant it's a very clean place and the food there is very good they have buffet and they have very good things in the buffet the waitresses are very nice and polite you can eat from the buffet or you can order from the menu anything you order is very good Danny and Irma if you have any questions or anyting you want to ask him make yourself comfortable and ask Danny or he's wife Irma but go try it on and see how wonderful it is thank you 👍

Myself and some friends ate here about a month ago and I have to say it was very delicious a good restaurant for such a small town. The chips and salsa were excellent, homemade salsa went good with everything we even had some to go, dinner was just as awesome, had some also to go lol and the best part was BYOB but we didn’t have any beer to bring in lol. Try it you’ll love it.

Food was great! The salsa was a little spicy for my taste, but had great flavor. We had enchiladas, which were amazing as was the taco and guacamole. The tres leches cake maybe the best I've ever had and was the perfect accompaniment to the entree.The only reason I gave them a 4-stars and not 5 was that the service leaves a little to be desired. Our initial intention was to dine in, we were told to sit wherever we'd like, however they had a good portion of the restaurant closed, therefore dining in while attempting to socially distance would have been very difficult, after we were not so politily redirected to sit in the small area with other guests we opted for takeout, the take out person was amazing.

Best food in ozona TX

Traveling through and stopped for lunch the food was great and the staff treated us like we were one of the locals. We will be sure to stop by again on travel back.

Great food, service, atmosphere, and selection. We ate from the buffet. Everything was hot and fresh.

The food taste was ok (felt like the meat may have been reheated/didn't taste fresh), and complaining didn't seem necessary. The 1 star was because of the result of a delayed response.

Food was beyond excellent. We all enjoyed our meals very much. The service was beyond rude. I sat with an empty water glass for the whole meal watching tables around me getting refills. I asked 3 times and never got any. We asked for a knife and never got it.

I Love THE food.and THE place is SO nice too.i Love THE music. Again the food IS SO delicious, and the waiter is Always making sure YOU GOT what you want and need.

I'd rate it 5 stars because I was absolutely satisfied and pleased with the quickness of the food service. The food was very well prepared and it was delicious. I do feel it was a little overpriced. However, I was pleased because we ordered something that wasn't on the menu and they accommodated us. I saw this place had a high rating and after eating there I have to agree that customers are truly what matter to this business. The waitress was very attentive and courteous. I would most definitely recommend it to everyone!

The place was quiet & pleasant. The food was good & the service was great. We were passing through town & decided to try el chatos & we enjoyed it.
